Beet Apple Juice Recipe

I love the Beet Apple Juice that I make for Ken. There is something earthy about it. I think the first time I was exposed to beets was after moving to Canada, and I always try to make this juice at least once a week.

Health benefits for Apple, Beetroots

It is proven that Apple, Carrot , and Beetroot juice helps in detoxifying your organs, which can further promote blood purification. This protects the skin and helps fight free radicals in the body.

Drinking this juice also helps in increasing the production of red blood cells which further increases the hemoglobin levels in the body. Here are some of the benefits;

Some Percautions

There are some precautions you should be aware of, one your urine and/or stools may turn a red or pinkish colour after eating beets. This condition is know as beeturia which is harmless. However, it may be concerning if you do not expect it.

If you already have low blood pressure, regularly drinking beet juice may increase a risk of your pressure dropping too low. Therefore monitor your blood pressure closely.

Beets are healthy no matter how they are prepared, however juicing is a superior way to enjoy them…which I maintain as the best way to enjoy so many different fruits and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 3 Apples (Granny Smith)

  • 1/2 Medium Beet

  • 2 Medium Asian Pears

  • Thumb Size of Ginger (to taste)

  • 1/2 Lemon (to taste)

Directions

  • Clean all the vegetables and soak in cool water for about 30 min
  • Slice in small to medium size pieces
  • Add to your juicer alternating between fruits and vegetables
  • Pour into jar and place in the fridge
